At VRD, we thrive on good-natured competition, and we’ve had decades of proven experience conducting the best races, leagues, tournaments or drop-in nights. Our running series, named best running series by Colorado Magazine in 2005 and 2008, attracts the region’s finest athletes and has been used as a qualifier for the U.S. Mountain Running Team more often than any other location in the U.S. Our Wednesday night mountain bike series draws an average 200 racers ranging in age from eight to 60+. In spring, summer and fall, our playing fields are ideal backdrops for youth and adult leagues and sports camps. From softball to soccer, lacrosse to volleyball, Vail Recreation District strives to provide the highest quality instruction and most well-run competitions you’ll find.
